एतान् संग्रामकाले तु पठत: क्षत्रियस्य तु । व्रजन्ति रिपवो नाशं क्षेम॑ च परिवर्तते,युद्धकालमें इन नामोंका पाठ करनेवाले क्षत्रियके शत्रु भाग जाते हैं और उसका सब ओरसे कल्याण होता है
etān saṅgrāma-kāle tu paṭhataḥ kṣatriyasya tu | vrajanti ripavo nāśaṃ kṣemaṃ ca parivartate ||
Bhīṣma sprach: In der Stunde der Schlacht, wenn ein Kṣatriya diese Namen rezitiert, werden seine Feinde dem Untergang zugetrieben, und seine eigene Sicherheit und Wohlfahrt kehren zurück und werden nach allen Seiten hin gefestigt.
भीष्म उवाच
