रोगार्तो व्याधियुक्तो वा पठन् पापात् प्रमुच्यते । वास्तुमध्ये तु पठत: कुले स्वस्त्ययनं भवेत्
rogārto vyādhiyukto vā paṭhan pāpāt pramucyate | vāstumadhye tu paṭhataḥ kule svastyayanaṃ bhavet ||
Bhīṣma sprach: Ob einer von Leiden gequält oder von Krankheit befallen ist—wer dies rezitiert, wird von Sünde befreit. Und wer es inmitten seiner Wohnung rezitiert, dem wird es zur Ursache von Wohlergehen und glückverheißender Gunst für die ganze Sippe.
