महेन्द्रगुरव: सप्त प्राचीं वै दिशमाश्रिता: । प्रयत: कीर्तयेदेतान्‌ शक्रलोके महीयते

Transliteration

mahendraguravaḥ sapta prācīṃ vai diśam āśritāḥ | prayataḥ kīrtayed etān śakraloke mahīyate ||

Translation

Bhishma sprach: „Die sieben Weisen, die als die Gurus Mahendras bekannt sind, wohnen in der östlichen Himmelsrichtung. Wer rein und diszipliniert ist und ihre Namen ehrfürchtig rezitiert, erlangt Ehre und hohen Rang in Śakras (Indras) Welt.“
