पूतात्मा परमात्मा च मुक्तानां परमा गति: । अव्यय: पुरुष: साक्षी क्षेत्रज्ञो5क्षर एव च
pūtātmā paramātmā ca muktānāṁ paramā gatiḥ | avyayaḥ puruṣaḥ sākṣī kṣetrajño 'kṣara eva ca ||
Bhīṣma sprach: Er ist das reine Selbst und auch das höchste Selbst; für die Befreiten ist Er das erhabenste Ziel. Er ist unvergänglich — der Puruṣa, der im Körper wohnt —, der Zeuge, der alles ohne Hindernis schaut. Er ist der Kenner des Feldes (Körper und Natur) und wahrlich der Akṣara, der Unverwelkliche.
