भक्तिमान् यः सदोत्थाय शुचिस्तद्गतमानस: । सहसतं वासुदेवस्य नाम्नामेतत् प्रकीर्तयेत्
bhaktimān yaḥ sadotthāya śucis tadgatamānasaḥ | sahasraṁ vāsudevasya nāmnām etat prakīrtayet ||
Bhīṣma sprach: Wer voller Hingabe ist—regelmäßig im Morgengrauen aufsteht, sich reinigt und den Geist ganz in Ihm versenkt—und diese tausendfache Litanei der Namen Vāsudevas ordnungsgemäß rezitiert, erlangt großen Ruhm und Ansehen unter den Menschen, gewinnt beständige Prosperität und erreicht das höchste Heil. Nirgends erhebt sich Furcht gegen ihn; er empfängt Kraft und inneren Glanz und wird gesund, strahlend, stark, schön und mit allen Tugenden ausgestattet.
