भीष्मस्योत्तरायणप्रतीक्षा तथा युधिष्ठिरागमनम् | Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival
एष वो>भिहितो मार्गो मया वै मुनिसत्तमा: | त॑ दृष्टवा सर्वशो देवं दृष्टा: स्यु: सुरसत्तमा:
eṣa vo ’bhihito mārgo mayā vai munisattamāḥ | taṁ dṛṣṭvā sarvaśo devaṁ dṛṣṭāḥ syuḥ surasattamāḥ ||
„O ihr Besten der Weisen, so habe ich euch diesen Pfad verkündet. Wenn einer jene Gottheit in jeder Weise schaut—wenn er wahrhaft die Schau des Herrn (Vāsudeva) erlangt—so ist es, als hätte er bereits alle höchsten Götter geschaut.“
ईश्वर उवाच
The verse teaches the supremacy and all-inclusiveness of the vision of the Lord: realizing/seeing Vāsudeva fully is presented as equivalent to having seen all the highest deities, emphasizing a unifying devotional focus.
Īśvara addresses a group of sages, concluding or reaffirming an instruction by stating that he has explained the proper path; he then states the fruit of that path—complete vision of the Lord—by which the vision of all eminent gods is implicitly attained.
