Śatarudrīya-prabhāva and Rudra’s Supremacy (शतरुद्रीयप्रभावः)
अप्रधृष्यतरं चैव महोरगसमाकुलम् । भगवान् भूतनाथका वह भयानक स्थान बड़ी शोभा पा रहा था। वह अत्यन्त दुर्धर्ष और बड़े-बड़े सर्पोंसे भरा हुआ था
apradhṛṣyataraṃ caiva mahoragasamākulam | bhagavān bhūtanāthakaḥ sa vah bhayānaka-sthānaḥ baḍī śobhā pā rahā thā | sa atyanta durdharṣa aur baṛe-baṛe sarpoṃ se bharā huā thā |
Nārada sagte: „Jener Ort erschien überaus furchterregend und ehrfurchtgebietend, strahlend in seiner eigenen schaurigen Erhabenheit. Er war nahezu uneinnehmbar und wimmelte von großen Schlangen—ein unheilvolles Umfeld, das vor der Gefahr warnt, die folgt, wenn man ohne gebührende Verehrung und Zügelung in schreckliche Bereiche eindringt.“
नारद उवाच
The verse underscores reverence and caution before formidable, fearsome realms: ethical conduct includes recognizing limits, approaching dangerous or sacred spaces with restraint, and not acting rashly where consequences are severe.
Nārada describes a dreadful, unassailable location—radiant yet terrifying—swarming with great serpents, setting the scene and heightening the sense of peril surrounding the place being spoken of.
