Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

तमाह भगवान्‌ रुद्र: साक्षात्‌ तुष्टोडस्मि तेडनघ । ग्रन्थकूल्लोकविख्यातो भवितास्यजरामर:

tam āha bhagavān rudraḥ sākṣāt tuṣṭo ’smi te ’nagha | granthakṛl lokavikhyāto bhavitāsy ajarāmaraḥ ||

Da erschien ihm der selige Herr Rudra leibhaftig und sprach: «O Makelloser, ich bin höchst zufrieden mit dir. Du wirst der Verfasser einer Abhandlung werden, die in der ganzen Welt berühmt ist, und du wirst ohne Alter und ohne Tod sein.»
