ऋषीणां देवतानां च पितृणां चैव नित्यदा । भवत्यभिमत: श्रीमान् धर्मेषु प्रयतः सदा
ṛṣīṇāṁ devatānāṁ ca pitṝṇāṁ caiva nityadā | bhavaty abhimataḥ śrīmān dharmeṣu prayataḥ sadā ||
Skanda sagt: „Wer stets dem Dharma ergeben ist, wird den Rishis, den Göttern und den Ahnen immerdar lieb und wohlgefällig. Ein solcher Mensch ist mit Wohlstand gesegnet und bleibt standhaft im rechten Handeln.“
स्कन्द उवाच
Steady commitment to dharma makes a person worthy of honor from sages, gods, and ancestors, and it brings lasting prosperity and moral steadfastness.
Skanda is instructing about the fruits of righteous conduct: the dharma-practitioner gains approval and reverence from higher orders (ṛṣis, devatās, pitṛs) and remains continually inclined toward dharma.
