Daśa-Karmapatha: Restraints of Body, Speech, and Mind (दश कर्मपथ)

अनभिध्या परस्वेषु सर्वसत्त्वेषु सौहदम्‌ । कर्मणां फलमस्तीति त्रिविधं मनसा चरेत्‌,दूसरेके धनको लेनेका उपाय न सोचना, समस्त प्राणियोंके प्रति मैत्रीभाव रखना और कर्मोंका फल अवश्य मिलता है, इस बातपर विश्वास रखना--ये तीन मनसे आचरण करने योग्य कार्य हैं। इन्हें सदा करना चाहिये। (इनके विपरीत दूसरोंके धनका लालच करना, समस्त प्राणियोंसे वैर रखना और कर्मोके फलपर विश्वास न करना--ये तीन मानसिक पाप हैं--इनसे सदा बचे रहना चाहिये)

anabhidhyā parasveṣu sarvasattveṣu saudham | karmaṇāṁ phalam astīti trividhaṁ manasā caret |

Bhīṣma sprach: „Man pflege im Geist drei Zuchten: nicht nach fremdem Gut zu begehren, allen Lebewesen Wohlwollen entgegenzubringen und die Überzeugung zu bewahren, dass Handlungen unweigerlich Frucht tragen. Dies ist beständig zu üben.“
