Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa

भवतो भावितात्मत्वाल्लाभो<यं सुमहान्‌ मम । भूयो बुद्ध्यानुपश्यामि सुसमृद्धतपा इव

bhavato bhāvitātmatvāl lābho ’yaṃ sumahān mama | bhūyo buddhyānupaśyāmi susamṛddhatapā iva ||

Maitreya sprach: „Weil dein inneres Selbst so wohl geformt und gepflegt ist, ist dies für mich zu einem überaus großen Gewinn geworden. Und wiederum, mit klarerer Einsicht, schaue ich dich als einen, dessen Askese und geistige Zucht reich erfüllt sind.“
