Educational Q&A

To sustain and refine the family line through dharmic upbringing: sons should be trained in knowledge and kuladharma under a teacher, and daughters should be married to a worthy, wise man of good family—emphasizing education, responsibility, and social-ethical continuity.

In the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma is instructing Yudhiṣṭhira on righteous conduct (dharma). Here he outlines household and lineage obligations: educating sons through proper discipline and arranging a suitable marriage for a daughter.
