अक्रोधन: सत्यवादी भूतानामविहिंसक: । अनसूयुरजिद्दाश्व शतं वर्षाणि जीवति
Translation
Bhīṣma sprach: Wer ohne Zorn ist, die Wahrheit spricht, keinem Wesen Gewalt antut, nicht nach Fehlern sucht und frei von Trug ist, der lebt hundert Jahre. Er soll morgens und abends essen, mit gesammeltetem Geist, nicht dazwischen; und er soll auch nicht die Speise eines fremden Śrāddha (Totenritus) zu sich nehmen.
