Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity
अप्यदृष्टं श्रवादेव पुरुषं धर्मचारिणम् | भूतिकर्माणि कुर्वाणं तं जना: कुर्वते प्रियम्
apy adṛṣṭaṃ śravād eva puruṣaṃ dharmacāriṇam | bhūtikarmāṇi kurvāṇaṃ taṃ janāḥ kurvate priyam ||
Bhishma sprach: „Selbst wenn sie ihn nie gesehen haben, beginnen die Menschen einen Mann von rechtschaffener Lebensführung allein durch das Hören von ihm zu schätzen — wenn er sich Werken widmet, die anderen Wohlergehen und Gedeihen bringen.“
