अध्याय ९५: चित्राङ्गदस्य गन्धर्वेण सह संग्रामः तथा विचित्रवीर्यस्य राज्याभिषेकः

Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration

यज्वानो जज्ञिरे शूरा: प्रजावन्तो बहुश्रुता: । सर्वे सर्वास्त्रिविद्वांस: सर्वे धर्मपरायणा:,पूरुके तीसरे पुत्र मनस्वी रौद्राश्वके मिश्रकेशी अप्सराके गर्भसे अन्वग्भानु आदि दस महाथनुर्धर पुत्र हुए, जो सभी यज्ञकर्ता, शूरवीर, संतानवान, अनेक शास्‍्त्रोंके विद्वान, सम्पूर्ण अस्त्रविद्याके ज्ञाता तथा धर्मपरायण थे

yajvāno jajñire śūrāḥ prajāvanto bahuśrutāḥ | sarve sarvāstravidvāṃsaḥ sarve dharmaparāyaṇāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Aus ihr wurden heldenhafte Söhne geboren — Opferdarbringer, mit Nachkommenschaft gesegnet und weitgelehrt. Sie alle waren Meister jeder Waffenkunst, und alle waren standhaft dem Dharma ergeben.
