Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration
दुष्यन्ताद् भरतो जज्ञे विद्वाञउ्छाकुन्तलो नृप: । तस्माद् भरतवंशस्य विप्रतस्थे महद् यश:,दुष्यन्तसे विद्वान् राजा भरतका जन्म हुआ, जो शकुन्तलाके पुत्र थे। उन्हींसे भरतवंशका महान् यश फैला
Duṣyantād Bharato jajñe vidvān Śākuntalo nṛpaḥ | tasmād Bharatavaṃśasya vipratasthe mahad yaśaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Von Duṣyanta wurde Bharata geboren, der weise König, der Sohn Śakuntalās. Von ihm breitete sich der große Ruhm des Bharata-Geschlechts weithin aus.
