Yayāti’s Request for Youth: Sons’ Refusals and Pūru’s Acceptance (ययातेः यौवन-विनिमयः)
यः समुत्पतितं क्रोधमक्रोधेन निरस्यति । देवयानि विजानीहि तेन सर्वमिदं जितम्,देवयानी! जो उत्पन्न हुए क्रोधको अक्रोध (क्षमाभाव)-के द्वारा मनसे निकाल देता है, समझ लो, उसने सम्पूर्ण जगत्को जीत लिया
yaḥ samutpatitaṁ krodham akrodhena nirasyati | devayāni vijānīhi tena sarvam idaṁ jitam ||
Śukra sprach: „O Devayānī, wisse: Wer den aufgestiegenen Zorn durch Nicht-Zorn—durch Geduld und Selbstbeherrschung—aus dem Herzen vertreibt, hat durch eben diese Tat die ganze Welt besiegt.“
