Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence
मूर्थ्नि चैनमुपाप्राय सस्नेहं परिषस्वजे । सभाज्यमानो विप्रैश्न स्तूयमानश्न वन्दिभि: । स मुद्दे परमां लेभे पुत्रसंस्पर्शजां नृप:,और उसका मस्तक सूँघकर अत्यन्त स्नेहपूर्वक उसे हृदयसे लगा लिया। उस समय ब्राह्मणोंने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया और वन्दीजनोंने उनके गुण गाये। महाराजने पुत्र- स्पर्शजनित परम आनन्दका अनुभव किया
mūrdhni cainam upāghrāya sasnehaṁ pariṣasvaje | sabhājyamāno vipraiś ca stūyamānaś ca vandibhiḥ | sa mudde paramāṁ lebhe putrasaṁsparśajāṁ nṛpaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem der König den Scheitel des Knaben beschnuppert hatte, schloss er ihn voll inniger Liebe an sein Herz. Während die Brahmanen Segensworte spendeten und die Barden seine Vorzüge besangen, erfuhr der König die höchste Freude, die aus der Berührung des Sohnes erwächst.
