Chapter 74: Non-anger, Forbearance, and the Ethics of Residence

ततस्तस्य तदा राजा पितृकर्माणि सर्वश: । कारयामास मुदित: प्रीतिमानात्मजस्य ह,तदनन्तर महाराज दुष्यन्तने पिताको जो-जो कार्य करने चाहिये, वे सब उपनयन आदि संस्कार बड़े आनन्द और प्रेमके साथ अपने उस पुत्रके लिये (शास्त्र और कुलकी मर्यादाके अनुसार) कराये

tatas tasya tadā rājā pitṛkarmāṇi sarvaśaḥ | kārayāmāsa muditaḥ prītimān ātmajasya ha ||

Daraufhin ließ der König — frohlockend und von Liebe zu seinem Sohn erfüllt — alle Pflichten und Riten, die einem Vater obliegen, vollständig vollziehen, gemäß heiliger Ordnung und den Sitten seines Geschlechts.
