द्वितीयो विक्षराद्‌ यस्तु नराधिप महासुर: । पाण्ड्यराष्ट्राधिप इति विख्यात: सो5भवन्नूप:,नराधिप! विक्षरसे छोटा उसका दूसरा भाई बल, जो असुरोंका राजा था, पाण्ड्य देशका सुविख्यात राजा हुआ

dvitīyo vikṣarād yastu narādhipa mahāsuraḥ | pāṇḍyarāṣṭrādhipa iti vikhyātaḥ so 'bhavannūpaḥ, narādhipa ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „Der zweite Bruder nach Vikṣara—ein Asura von großer Macht und zugleich ein Herrscher unter den Menschen—wurde berühmt als Souverän des Pāṇḍya-Landes. So, o König, wurde er ein gefeierter irdischer Regierer.“
