Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition

य॑ य॑ देवं त्वमेतेन मन्त्रेणावाहयिष्यसि । तस्य तस्य प्रसादात्‌ त्वं देवि पुत्राउजनिष्यसि,'देवि! तुम इस मन्त्रद्वारा जिस-जिस देवताका आवाहन करोगी, उसी-उसीके कृपाप्रसादसे पुत्र उत्पन्न करोगी”

yaṃ yaṃ devaṃ tvam etena mantreṇāvāhayiṣyasi | tasya tasya prasādāt tvaṃ devi putrān ajaniṣyasi ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O Frau, einer Göttin gleich: Welche Gottheit du auch immer mit diesem Mantra herbeirufst, durch die Gnade eben dieser Gottheit wirst du Söhne gebären.“
