Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition

तुष्टोडभिचारसंयुक्तमाचचक्षे यथाविधि । उवाच चैनां भगवान्‌ प्रीतो5स्मि सुभगे तव,भगवान्‌ दुर्वासाने संतुष्ट होकर पृथाको प्रयोग-विधिसहित एक मन्त्रका विधिपूर्वक उपदेश किया और कहा--'सुभगे! मैं तुमपर बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ

tuṣṭo 'bhicārasaṃyuktam ācacakṣe yathāvidhi | uvāca caināṃ bhagavān prīto 'smi subhage tava ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Zufrieden unterwies der ehrwürdige Weise sie ordnungsgemäß in einem Mantra, das mit ritueller Anwendung verbunden war, und lehrte es nach der rechten Vorschrift. Dann sagte der Erhabene zu ihr: „Glückliche Frau, ich bin dir sehr gewogen.“
