King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
पाण्डवेभ्यो हि पाज्चाल्यां द्रौपद्यां पच जज्ञिरे । कुमारा रूपसम्पन्ना: सर्वशास्त्रविशारदा:,पाण्डवोंद्वारा द्रौपदीके गर्भसे पाँच पुत्र उत्पन्न हुए थे, जो बड़े ही सुन्दर और सब शास्त्रोंमें निपुण थे
pāṇḍavebhyo hi pāñcālyāṃ draupadyāṃ pañca jajñire | kumārā rūpasampannāḥ sarvaśāstraviśāradāḥ ||
Dāśa sprach: „Von den Pāṇḍavas wurden in Draupadī aus Pāñcāla fünf Söhne geboren — Fürstensöhne von strahlender Schönheit, vollendet an Gestalt und Wesen und kundig in allen Zweigen heiligen wie weltlichen Wissens.“
दाश उवाच
The verse presents an ideal of dharmic royalty: noble birth should be matched by cultivation—beauty and strength are praised, but true excellence includes mastery of śāstra (disciplined learning and right conduct).
Daśa reports that Draupadī, the Pāñcāla princess and wife of the Pāṇḍavas, bore five sons, described as handsome princes and proficient in all branches of learning.
