Jaratkāru’s Conditional Marriage Vow and Vāsuki’s Offer (जरत्कारु-विवाह-नियमः)
न चैनं कश्चिदारूढं लभते राजसत्तमम् | वातो5पि निन्षरंस्तत्र प्रवेशे विनिवार्यते,उस समय महलनमें बैठे हुए महाराजसे कोई भी मिलने नहीं पाता था। वायुको भी वहाँसे निकल जानेपर पुनः प्रवेशके समय रोका जाता था
na cainaṁ kaścid ārūḍhaṁ labhate rājasattamam | vāto 'pi niḥsaraṁs tatra praveśe vinivāryate ||
Und niemand konnte zu jenem vorzüglichsten König gelangen, sobald er sich in die inneren Gemächer zurückgezogen hatte. Selbst der Wind, der von dort hinausgeweht war, wurde am Wiedereintritt gehindert — so streng waren Abschirmung und Bewachung der königlichen Residenz.
