Elāpatra’s Counsel on the Nāgas’ Deliverance

sarvān sampiṇḍitān vāpi lokān sasthāṇujaḍamān | vaheyam apariśrānto viddhīdaṃ me mahad balam ||

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights extraordinary capability expressed through cosmic hyperbole: true power is shown by effortless endurance (carrying immense burdens without fatigue). In context, it establishes Garuḍa’s fitness for a daunting task and frames strength as steadfast capacity rather than mere aggression.

Garuḍa proclaims his immense strength, claiming he could bear all the worlds combined without tiring. This declaration functions as a persuasive assurance to others in the episode that he can accomplish what is being demanded or attempted.
