Elāpatra’s Counsel on the Nāgas’ Deliverance
This line is a colophon rather than a didactic verse; its function is to frame and authenticate the text by marking the end of a chapter and locating it within the epic’s hierarchy of parva and sub-parva—supporting careful study, citation, and transmission.
The narrative action pauses: the chapter concludes, and the text formally records that this is the 34th chapter of the Sauparṇa portion within the Āstīka sub-parvan of the Ādi Parvan.
