पतत्त्रीणां च गरुडमिन्द्रत्वेनाभ्यषिज्चत । तस्यैतत् कर्म सुमहच्छूयतां भूगुनन्दन,भृगुनन्दन! दूसरे पुत्र गरुडका पक्षियोंके इन्द्र-यदपर अभिषेक किया गया। अब तुम गरुडका यह महान् पराक्रम सुनो
patattrīṇāṃ ca garuḍam indrātvenābhyasiñcat | tasyaitat karma sumahac chrūyatāṃ bhṛgunandana ||
Śaunaka sprach: „Und Garuḍa wurde zum Indra (Herrscher) unter den Vögeln geweiht. Nun, o Nachkomme Bhṛgus, höre von dieser überaus großen Tat von ihm.“
