वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमाश्चासितान् पुत्रान् भार्यामादाय स द्विज: । मन्दपालस्ततो देशादन्यं देशं जगाम ह,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! इस प्रकार आश्वस्त किये हुए अपने पुत्रों और पत्नी जरिताको साथ ले द्विज मन्दपाल उस देशसे दूसरे देशमें चले गये
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam āśvāsitān putrān bhāryām ādāya sa dvijaḥ | Mandapālas tato deśād anyaṃ deśaṃ jagāma ha ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O Janamejaya, so hatte der zweimalgeborene Weise Mandapāla seine Söhne beruhigt, nahm seine Gattin mit sich und verließ jene Gegend, um in ein anderes Land zu ziehen.“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Before pursuing one’s next course of action, one should first steady and reassure those under one’s care; ethical movement forward is grounded in responsibility toward family and dependents.
After consoling and reassuring his sons, Mandapāla takes his wife Jarītā with him and leaves that region for another, marking a transition to the next phase of the story.
