Stambhamitra uvāca—sarvam agne tvam evaikaḥ tvayi sarvam idaṃ jagat | tvaṃ dhārayasi bhūtāni bhuvanaṃ tvaṃ bibharṣi ca ||
Stambhamitra sprach: „O Agni, du allein bist alles.
The verse expresses a devotional and theological vision in which Agni is praised as the single sustaining principle: all existence is said to rest in him, and he is portrayed as the supporter and bearer of beings and the cosmos—an affirmation of divine immanence and cosmic maintenance.
Stambhamitra addresses Agni directly in a hymn-like utterance, offering exalted praise that frames Agni not merely as physical fire but as a cosmic power responsible for sustaining life and upholding the world.
