ततस्तं ज्वलितं दृष्टवा ज्वलनं ते विहंगमा: । जरितारिस्ततो वाक्यं श्रावयामास पावकम्,तब उस जलती हुई आगको देखकर वे पक्षी आपसमें वार्तालाप करने लगे। उनमेंसे जरितारिने अग्निदेवको यह बात सुनायी
tatas taṃ jvalitaṃ dṛṣṭvā jvalanaṃ te vihaṅgamāḥ | jaritāris tato vākyaṃ śrāvayāmāsa pāvakam ||
Da sie das lodernde Feuer sahen, begannen die Vögel miteinander zu sprechen. Unter ihnen ließ Jaritāri Pāvaka (Agni) ihre Worte vernehmen und brachte den Feuergott dazu, zu hören, was gesagt wurde.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical responsibility in crisis: when danger is seen, communication and truthful reporting become morally significant, especially when addressing a powerful agent (Agni) whose actions affect others.
A blazing fire is observed; the birds confer among themselves, and Jaritāri acts as a messenger by conveying their words to Agni (Pāvaka), setting up the next turn of the episode.
