Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical weight of parental responsibility: attachment to one’s children naturally brings vigilance and concern, reminding that care and protection of dependents is a lived aspect of dharma.

In the Māṇḍapāla episode, Jaritā—concerned for her young—becomes intensely worried after Māṇḍapāla goes away, her thoughts fixed on the safety and future of the offspring.
