Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical idea of kṛtakṛtyatā—inner peace that comes from completing what is right and necessary. Satisfaction is portrayed not as mere pleasure, but as the calm joy that follows fulfilled responsibility, especially when one’s actions are aligned with accepted duty and acknowledged among others.

Bhīmasena hears a piece of news (a report of events just concluded). On hearing it, he feels his objective has been achieved. He then speaks about it with the others present, and the situation resolves into shared relief and happiness.
