दिष्टया वर्धामहे सर्वे दिष्टया शान्त: पुरोचन: । दिष्टया मम परं दुःखमपनीतं महाद्युते,महाद्युते! सौभाग्यसे हम सबकी वृद्धि हो रही है। भाग्यकी बात है कि पापी पुरोचन शान्त हो गया और सौभाग्यसे ही मेरा महान् दुःख मिट गया
diṣṭyā vardhāmahe sarve diṣṭyā śāntaḥ purocanaḥ | diṣṭyā mama paraṁ duḥkham apanītaṁ mahādyute mahādyute ||
Vidura sprach: „Durch gutes Geschick gedeihen wir alle. Durch gutes Geschick ist der ruchlose Purocana zum Schweigen gebracht (zur Ruhe gebracht) worden. Und durch ebendieses Geschick, o Strahlender, ist mein größter Kummer von mir genommen.“
