The Ritual Formalization of Draupadī’s Marriage
तथैव तस्याप्यनु रौहिणेय- स्तौ चापि हृष्टा: कुरवो5 भ्यनन्दन् । पितृष्वसुश्चापि यदुप्रवीरा- वगृह्नतां भारतमुख्य पादौ,उन्हींके साथ उसी प्रकार बलरामजीने भी (अपना नाम बताकर) उनके चरण छूए। पाण्डव भी उन दोनोंको देखकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। जनमेजय! फिर उन यदुवीरोंने अपनी बूआ कुन्तीके भी चरणोंका स्पर्श किया
tathaiva tasyāpy anu rauhiṇeyo tau cāpi hṛṣṭāḥ kuravo 'bhyānandan | pitṛṣvasuś cāpi yadupravīrāv agṛhṇatāṃ bhāratamukhya pādau ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: In gleicher Weise tat es auch Rohiṇeya (Balarāma); nachdem er sich genannt hatte, berührte er ihre Füße. Auch die Kurus waren erfreut und hießen beide willkommen. Dann berührten jene erlesensten Helden der Yadus die Füße ihrer väterlichen Tante Kuntī—eine Tat, die Verwandtschaft, Demut und das dharmische Gebot der Ehrung der Älteren bekräftigt.
