वैशम्पायन उवाच भ्रातुर्वचस्तत् प्रसमीक्ष्य सर्वे ज्येष्ठस्थ पाण्डोस्तनयास्तदानीम् | तमेवार्थ ध्यायमाना मनोभि: सर्वे च ते तस्थुरदीनसत्त्वा:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! उस समय अपने बड़े भाईका यह वचन सुनकर उदार हृदयवाले समस्त पाण्डव मन-ही-मन उसीका चिन्तन करते हुए चुपचाप बैठे रह गये
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: bhrātur vacas tat prasmīkṣya sarve jyeṣṭhastha pāṇḍos tanayās tadānīm | tam evārthaṃ dhyāyamānā manobhiḥ sarve ca te tasthur adīnasattvāḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: Nachdem sie die Worte ihres ältesten Bruders erwogen hatten, verharrten damals alle Söhne Pāṇḍus—standhaft und unverdrossen—schweigend beisammen und dachten im Innern über eben diesen Rat nach.
