अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः
Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
स चक्रे तात लोकानां विनाशाय महामना: । सर्वेषामेव कार्त्स्न्येन मन: प्रवणमात्मन:,वत्स पराशर! उन महामना मुनिने समस्त लोकोंका पूर्णरूपसे विनाश करनेकी ओर अपना मन लगाया
sa cakre tāta lokānāṁ vināśāya mahāmanāḥ | sarveṣām eva kārtsnyena manaḥ pravaṇam ātmanaḥ | vatsa parāśara |
Vasiṣṭha sprach: „Mein liebes Kind, jener Großgesinnte richtete seinen Vorsatz auf die Vernichtung der Welten. Sein eigener Geist war gänzlich — ohne jeden Rest — dem Untergang aller Wesen zugeneigt; er fasste den Entschluss zur allumfassenden Verwüstung, o Parāśara!“
