Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s Enumeration of Assembled Kṣatriyas
True authority is shown not merely by force but by inner tejas—self-possessed radiance and dignity. The verse contrasts demonic coercion with the king’s inherent splendor that naturally brings order and clarity, like sunlight transforming twilight clouds.
After the rākṣasa releases him, the king proceeds in the great forest. His presence is described poetically: his innate brilliance seems to suffuse and ‘color’ the forest, compared to the Sun coloring the clouds at twilight.
