द्रौपदी-स्वयंवर-प्रारम्भः

Commencement of Draupadī’s Svayaṃvara

ततः स नृपतिश्रेष्ठो रक्षसापद्वतेन्द्रिय: । उवाच शर्ति तं दृष्टवा न चिरादिव भारत,भारत! राक्षसने राजाके मन और इन्द्रियोंको काबूमें कर लिया था, अतः उन नृपश्रष्ठने कुछ ही दिनों बाद उक्त शक्ति मुनिको अपने सामने देखकर कहा--

tataḥ sa nṛpatiśreṣṭho rakṣasāpadvatendriyaḥ | uvāca śarti taṃ dṛṣṭvā na cirādiva bhārata ||

Daraufhin sprach jener vortrefflichste König — o Bhārata — dessen Geist und Sinne von der Gefahr des Rākṣasa beherrscht waren, als er Śarti nach kurzer Zeit wieder vor sich sah.
