Educational Q&A

Even in leisure, a ruler’s behavior is framed by propriety: enjoyment is followed by a return to order and duty, reflecting restraint and disciplined conduct (dharma) rather than indulgence without limits.

The king strolls about freely and comfortably for a time; afterward he turns back and enters the inner palace quarters (antaḥpura). The address “Pārtha” marks the narrator’s direct speech to Arjuna.
