और्वकृत-क्रोधाग्नि-निग्रहः
Aurva’s Containment of the Wrath-Fire
सम्प्राप्तयौवनां पश्यन् देयां दुहितरं तु ताम् । नोपलेभे ततः शान्तिं सम्प्रदानं विचिन्तयन्,वह युवावस्थाको प्राप्त हो गयी। अब उसका किसीके साथ विवाह कर देना आवश्यक था। उसे उस अवस्थामें देखकर भगवान् सूर्य इस चिन्तामें पड़े कि इसका विवाह किसके साथ किया जाय। यही सोचकर उन्हें शान्ति नहीं मिलती थी
samprāptayauvanāṃ paśyan deyāṃ duhitaraṃ tu tām | nopalebhe tataḥ śāntiṃ sampradānaṃ vicintayan ||
Als er sah, dass die Jungfrau die Jugend erreicht hatte und es nun geziemte, die Tochter zur Ehe zu geben, wurde er von der Frage ihrer Vermählung ganz in Anspruch genommen. Während er darüber sann, wem er sie geben solle, fand er keinen Frieden des Geistes—denn darin spiegelt sich die dharmische Pflicht eines Hüters: zur rechten Zeit eine passende Verbindung für die Tochter zu sichern.
