एकत्र चिरवासश्ष क्षमो न च मतो मम । ते तत्र साधु गच्छामो यदि त्वं पुत्र मन््यसे,बेटा! एक स्थानपर बहुत दिनोंतक रहना मुझे उचित नहीं जान पड़ता; अतः यदि तुम ठीक समझो तो हमलोग सुखपूर्वक वहाँ चलें
ekatra ciravāsaḥ kṣamo na ca mato mama | te tatra sādhu gacchāmo yadi tvaṃ putra manyase ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Lange an einem einzigen Ort zu verweilen, scheint mir nicht geziemend, und ich billige es nicht. Darum, wenn du es für richtig hältst, mein Sohn, lass uns von hier dorthin auf angemessene und friedvolle Weise aufbrechen.“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse emphasizes prudent conduct (dharma) through timely movement: lingering too long in one place may be improper or risky, so one should act appropriately and relocate when circumstances warrant, ideally with calm deliberation and consent.
The speaker expresses his judgment that extended stay in a single place is not suitable and proposes that they proceed to another location, inviting the addressed “son” to agree to the decision.
