Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)

(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके ४ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल ३२ श्लोक हैं) ऑपन- मा बछ। ्-:डिअ षट्षष्ट्यधिेकशततमोड< ध्याय: ट्रपदके यज्ञसे धृष्टद्युम्न और द्रौपदीकी उत्पत्ति ब्राह्मण उवाच अमर्षी द्रुपदो राजा कर्मसिद्धान्‌ द्विजर्षभान्‌ | अन्विच्छन्‌ परिचक्राम ब्राह्मणावसथान्‌ बहून्‌,आगन्तुक ब्राह्मण कहता है--राजा ट्रुपद अमर्षमें भर गये थे, अतः उन्होंने कर्मसिद्ध श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणोंको ढूँढ़नेके लिये बहुत-से ब्रह्मर्षियोंके आश्रमोंमें भ्रमण किया

brāhmaṇa uvāca | amarṣī drupado rājā karmasiddhān dvijarṣabhān | anvicchan paricakrāma brāhmaṇāvasathān bahūn ||

Der Brahmane sprach: König Drupada, von Groll verzehrt, machte sich auf die Suche nach Brahmanen, die im Vollzug der Riten vollendet waren—den Vorzüglichsten unter den Zweimalgeborenen—und zog durch viele Brahmanenklöster und Einsiedeleien.
