Vasiṣṭha as Purohita: Ascetic Mastery and Royal Counsel
ततो जानपदा: सर्वे आजममुर्नगरं प्रति । तदद्भुततमं द्रष्ठुं पार्थास्तत्रैव चावसन्,इसके बाद उस अद्भुत घटनाको देखनेके लिये जनपदमें रहनेवाले सब लोग नगरमें आये और पाण्डवलोग भी (पूर्ववत) वहीं निवास करने लगे
tato jānāpadāḥ sarve ājamamur nagaraṃ prati | tad adbhutatamaṃ draṣṭuṃ pārthās tatraiva cāvāsan |
Daraufhin eilten alle Menschen aus den umliegenden Landstrichen zur Stadt, um jenes höchst erstaunliche Wunder zu schauen; und die Pārthas (die Pāṇḍavas) blieben, wie zuvor, weiterhin dort ansässig.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse contrasts collective excitement with the steadiness of the righteous: crowds rush to witness marvels, while the Pāṇḍavas are depicted as composed and settled, suggesting self-control and stability amid sensational events.
News of a highly wondrous occurrence spreads; people from the surrounding regions converge on the city to see it, and the Pāṇḍavas continue living in the same place as before.
