हीयमान तु तद् रक्ष: समीक्ष्य पुरुषादकम् । निष्पिष्य भूमौ जानुभ्यां समाजघ्ने वृकोदर:,उस नरभक्षी राक्षसको कमजोर पड़ते देख भीमसेन उसे पृथ्वीपर पटककर रगड़ने और दोनों घुटनोंसे मारने लगे
hīyamānaṃ tu tad rakṣaḥ samīkṣya puruṣādakam | niṣpiṣya bhūmau jānubhyāṃ samājaghne vṛkodaraḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: Als er sah, dass der menschenfressende Rākṣasa schwächer wurde, schleuderte Vṛkodara (Bhīma) ihn zu Boden, presste und zermalmte ihn gegen die Erde und stieß ihn wieder und wieder mit beiden Knien.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When faced with predatory harm (such as a man-eater), dharma permits and even requires firm action to protect others; strength is ethically directed when used to end ongoing violence and safeguard the vulnerable.
Bhīma (Vṛkodara), noticing the man-eating rākṣasa losing strength, pins him to the ground, crushes him down, and strikes him repeatedly with his knees, intensifying the assault to finish the threat.
