भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः

ततः शरशतै: पार्थ पाज्चाल: शीघ्रमार्दयत् । पार्थस्तु शरवर्षेण छाद्यमानो महारथ:,फिर पांचाल वीर सत्यजितने भी शीघ्र ही सौ बाण मारकर अर्जुनको पीड़ित कर दिया। उनके बाणोंकी वर्षसे आच्छादित होकर महान् वेगशाली महारथी अर्जुनने धनुषकी प्रत्यंचाको झाड़-पोंछकर बड़े वेगसे बाण छोड़ना आरम्भ किया और सत्यजितके धनुषको काटकर वे राजा ट्रुपदपर चढ़ आये
tataḥ śaraśataiḥ pārtha pāñcālaḥ śīghram ārdayat | pārthas tu śaravarṣeṇa chādyamāno mahārathaḥ pratyancāṃ dhanuṣo jhāḍa-pōñchya mahāvegena śarān mumoca satyajitaḥ dhanuś chittvā sa rājā drupade samāruhat |
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Da bedrängte der pāñcālische Krieger Arjuna rasch mit Hunderten von Pfeilen. Doch Arjuna, der große Wagenkämpfer, obgleich von einem Pfeilhagel bedeckt, schüttelte die Sehne zurecht und begann mit gewaltiger Geschwindigkeit zu schießen. Nachdem er Satyajits Bogen zerschnitten hatte, drängte er vor und schloss zu König Drupada auf.
