Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
वाहयित्वा कुमारांस्ताञ्जलक्रीडागतांस्तदा । प्रमाणकोट्यां वासार्थी सुष्वापावाप्य तत् स्थलम्,वे जलक्रीड़ाके लिये आये हुए उन कुमारोंको साथ लेकर विश्राम करनेकी इच्छासे प्रमाणकोटिके उस गृहमें आये और वहीं एक स्थानमें सो गये
vāhayitvā kumārāṁs tāñ jalakrīḍāgatāṁs tadā | pramāṇakoṭyāṁ vāsārthī suṣvāpa āvāpy tat sthalam ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem er jene Knaben, die zum Wasserspiel gekommen waren, mit sich genommen hatte, betrat er, auf der Suche nach Ruhe, das Haus in Pramāṇakoṭī und legte sich dort an einer Stelle zum Schlafen nieder. Die Szene macht deutlich, wie gewöhnliche Bedürfnisse—Ruhe und Obdach—zum Ausgangspunkt folgenreicher Ereignisse werden können, und dass Umsicht in gemeinsam genutzten Räumen zum rechten Handeln gehört.
