संयुक्ता सा हि धर्मेण योगमूर्तिधरेण ह । लेभे पुत्र वरारोहा सर्वप्राणभूृतां हितम्‌,तदनन्तर योगमूर्ति धारण किये हुए धर्मके साथ समागम करके सुन्दरांगी कुन्तीने एक ऐसा पुत्र प्राप्त किया, जो समस्त प्राणियोंका हित करनेवाला था

saṁyuktā sā hi dharmeṇa yogamūrtidhareṇa ha | lebhe putraṁ varārohā sarvaprāṇabhṛtāṁ hitam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Vereint mit Dharma selbst, der eine yogische Gestalt angenommen hatte, empfing die wohlgestaltete Kuntī einen Sohn—einen, der dazu bestimmt war, das Wohl aller lebenden Wesen zu fördern.
