Pāṇḍu’s Funeral Rites and Public Mourning

ते हि सर्वे महात्मानो देवराजपराक्रमा: । त्वयैवांशावतरणे देवभागा: प्रकीर्तिता:,वे सब महात्मा पाण्डव देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी थे। आपने ही अंशावतरणके प्रसंगमें उन्हें देवताओंका अंश बताया था

Transliteration

te hi sarve mahātmāno devarāja-parākramāḥ | tvayaivāṃśāvataraṇe deva-bhāgāḥ prakīrtitāḥ ||

Translation

Janamejaya sprach: „All jene Pāṇḍavas, groß von Seele, besaßen die Kraft des Götterkönigs (Indra). Und du selbst hast, als du vom Herabsteigen göttlicher Anteile in die Welt sprachst, verkündet, sie seien Anteile der Götter.“
