आह्वानमन्त्रप्रयोगः — Kuntī’s Invocations and the Birth-Portents of the Pāṇḍavas

ततस्तु वरयित्वा तामानीय भरतर्षभः । विवाहं कारयामास विदुरस्य महामते:,तब इन भरतश्रेष्ठने उसका वरण किया और उसे अपने यहाँ ले आकर उसके साथ परम बुद्धिमान्‌ विदुरजीका विवाह कर दिया

tatastu varayitvā tām ānīya bharatarṣabhaḥ | vivāhaṃ kārayāmāsa vidurasya mahāmateḥ ||

Darauf wählte der Stier unter den Bharatas sie aus, führte sie in seine eigene Wohnstatt und ließ für den großgesinnten Vidura die Eheschließung ordnungsgemäß vollziehen. Die Erzählung betont eine dharmische Verantwortungstat: einem Würdigen eine rechtmäßige, anerkannte Verbindung zu sichern und so Ordnung, Anstand und die rechte Hausstandspflicht zu wahren.
