Pāṇḍu’s Gifts, Forest Residence, and Vidura’s Marriage

ततो निष्क्रान्तमागम्य माता पुत्रमुवाच ह | अप्यस्या गुणवान्‌ पुत्र राजपुत्रो भविष्यति,जब व्यासजी उसके महलसे बाहर निकले, तब माता सत्यवतीने आकर उनसे पूछा --<बेटा! क्या अम्बिकाके गर्भसे कोई गुणवान्‌ राजकुमार उत्पन्न होगा?”

tato niṣkrāntam āgamya mātā putram uvāca ha | apy asyā guṇavān putra rājaputro bhaviṣyati |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als Vyāsa nach seinem Fortgang herausgetreten war, trat seine Mutter Satyavatī zu ihrem Sohn und fragte: „Mein Sohn—wird aus Ambikās Schoß ein tugendhafter Königssohn hervorgehen?“
